How we can better protect our heritage in our everyday life?
- When in museums:
- Respect signs not to touch.
- Do not touch displayed objects unless permitted to do so.
- Always ask before you decide to take a picture, with or without flash.
- In parks:
- Do not graffiti.
- Respect architecture.
- Do not litter- take all rubbish, food and drink home with you.
- Do not allow your children to damage or mistreat the park. Do not allow them to climb on buildings and statues it is not only bad for protecting the Cultural Heritage, but also not safe for your kid.
- Use lighters or matches carefully.
- In your community:
- Reconsider every decision in rebuilding or renovating the old architectures, contact CHP when necessary.
- Do not hang clothing wires around an old tree or building.
- Report any cultural heritage abuse you see to CHP or a local authority.
- In the field:
- When you find something valuable, turn it in to the proper government offices, or report to CHP.
- Do not take away anything that is part of that architecture, even a piece of old brick or tile.
This list is not exhaustive, any input you can add to make it more complete and useful please do.. Please write to us if you can think of anything else that’s not included in this list: volunteer@bjchp.org.
